About GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK
GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK started in 1992 as a UK conveyor manufacturer called European Conveyor Systems (ECS). Established by John Bower, the company gained prominence quickly. In its first year of operation, European Conveyor Systems won a large contract in the Middle East and established its first factory in Bulwell, Nottingham.
As demand surged, the company relocated to Netherfield, Nottingham in 1997. Just two years later, the business expanded its presence in Netherfield by extending its building to accommodate increased production and storage needs.
In 2011, European Conveyor Systems achieved a significant milestone by securing its first multimillion-pound contract. This major project consisted of the design and installation of a cutting-edge intralogistics system for a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer. Building on this success, the following year saw the company expand its reach further by securing its first significant contract in Ireland.
Following several years of collaboration, GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group decided to acquire European Conveyor Systems in 2014. Marco Gebhardt was eager to expand GEBHARDT's presence in the UK, and European Conveyor Systems had already proven to be a reliable partner.
Inheriting GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group’s product range and name in the acquisition, GEBHARDT European Conveyor Systems Ltd. sold its first automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in 2016.
In 2023, the company changed its name to GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK. Our company is accredited by AMHSA, BSI, and SafeContractor. Additionally, GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK conforms to ISO standards.
We are a part of the GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group and collaborate with intralogistics teams across the globe to create new, innovative solutions.
