At the GEBHARDT Innovation Center at the Sinsheim site, the GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group presents its customers and interested parties with the perfect interaction of the company's own intralogistics solutions and IoT applications. And all that under actual storage and picking conditions! "The declared goal of the GEBHARDT Innovation Center was and is to perfectly automate our own warehouse while at the same time processing real customer picking orders," explains Marco Gebhardt, CEO of the GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group. The development and production of intralogistics solutions and IoT applications are subject to continuous evolution, meaning the Innovation Center is constantly being expanded to include new and further advancements, such as the AGV KARIS® or the SimplePick series.
A Holistic Solution Across Different Storage Areas
The GEBHARDT StoreBiter® OLS is a flexible, modular system that realises the storage and retrieval as well as the horizontal transport of small loads and other load carriers in one storage level. System enhancement such as the Roaming and Roaming+ concepts contribute to increased scalability and performance without increasing capacity. The StoreBiter® MLS, on the other hand, performs storage and retrieval across multiple storage levels.
The GEBHARDT KARIS® is a modular AGV transport system that supports the internal material flow safely, scalably and efficiently. There are three different designs in the KARIS® Solution Portfolio, which covers the transport of small load carriers, containers, trays, cartons, pallets, and mesh boxes. The system is based on independent and intelligent, contour-based navigation - once learned, the AGV plans the paths independently, learns about environmental changes and updates the map on its own.
Picking is carried out in the GEBHARDT Innovation Center according to the goods-to-person principle using various workstations. In addition to a "1 to n" or multi-order picking, the workstations also implement a "1 to 1" picking via the GEBHARDT SimplePick® workplaces and a "1 to 1" picking at the pallet warehouse. SimplePick® stands for ergonomic high-performance workstations, configured according to the area of application and flexible through its modular design.
