A Holistic Solution Across Different Storage Areas

The New Centrepiece

The heart of the new building is a state-of-the-art automated order-picking system developed and installed by GEBHARDT. Previously, Ralawise handled picking manually, which was very labour-intensive. Automating this process improved site productivity and lowered labour costs. Their operators now work adjacent to the automated conveyor system, which transports cartons and totes between their picking zones and shipping areas.

Capable of processing up to 720 totes or cartons per hour, the system reduces staffing requirements and ensures timely replenishment of picking racks from block storage as needed.

Transport from A to Z

The new GEBHARDT conveyor system with two roller accumulation lines now transports items to outgoing goods.

Carton Erecting Made Easy

The infeed station automatically assembles boxes and labels them by carrier and destination. By introducing warehouse automation, picking activities are now far quicker and more efficient.

The Final Touch

At the replenishment infeed line, the cartons are now automatically cut, perforated and transported across four floors to their relevant storage location.
